Founder Jill Shlesinger was born in Long Island, New York in 1976 and moved to Los Osos, California when she was 4 years old. Jill relocated to Las Vegas in 1994 from Rancho Cucamonga, California and she has been planning special events & cooking for Family and Friends for over 16 years.

Each year as her experience became more flavorful- Jill was urged to pursue a culinary profession full time. She is a mommy of a vibrant 5 year old boy and she had been working in Retail Sales for over 12 years. Jill decided to resign from her full time career in Retail Sales Management, She spent some time training under executive Chef Urbano Salvati and jumped into her new career. 

From that "the Urban Catering co." was founded. Jill felt there was a need for a catering company that took pride in serving homemade comfort food that was unbeliveably yummy and fresh.

"the Urban Catering co." will cater to any event no matter the size, without compromise of quality and taste.

I am so very pleased to devote my heart and soul into what I truly enjoy, which is making people happy and soothing their tummies with my recipes.

I take great pride in cooking homemade authentic Mexican, Italian and Classic dishes with my own style of food & event planning. I am always looking for fresh new ingredients and flavors to incorporate into my growing list of dishes I am known for.
